Biography:
Convergence is a project put in motion by the joint efforts of Michael Lee and Transcend, each residing on opposite ends of the Continental United States. On the 4th Thursday of each month, we promise to bring you a brilliant 2 hour set featuring a broad range of all types of progressive house. Whether it's dreamy, techy, or deep and dark, you can be sure that all of our sets will be mixed fluidly with top quality tracks. Special guest Dj's from around the world will be announced from time to time as well. Michael Lee, from Chicago IL, has been DJing since 2002. His musical influences are Ben Watt, Justin Martin, Manoo & Francis A, Ripperton, and the list continues. Playing deep house and tech house, Michael always picks tunes that will get somebody moving at any point during his sets. Michael plays out regularly at a variety of clubs and lounges in the Chicago area including big venues such as Vision @ Excalibur, one of Chicago's oldest night clubs that is well known for its draw of big names and local talent. Transcend, from San Francisco CA, has been DJing since late 1998. Influenced early on by Captain Tinrib, Mars & Mystere, Thomas Trouble, DRC, and numerous other trance artists, Transcend's mixing style gradually morphed into the dark and moody progressive house that he plays today. At the moment Transcend is currently focused more on studio work than playing out at gigs, but has held residencies at a variety of clubs throughout the south bay of California, playing everything from hard trance to funky house.
