Biography:
Phobic Records was founded in June 2008 by Richard Belsom and Claire Ripley. Phobic’s artists include Claire Ripley, Richard Belsom, Inxec (Cocoon, Contexterrior, Yoshitoshi, Cr2, Tuning Spork, Renaissance, Greatstuff, Kismet, Saved, Esperanza), Sona Sound (Resopal Schallware), TG (Tim Green) (Cocoon, Dirtybird), Rebekah, Avus (Border Community), Jobody (Minus), Chris Lattner (Moonharbour, Fear of Flying, EINMALEINS), Justin Margovan and Harnessnoise. Claire has also remixed F.E.X - Mysterious Conversation for the Dessous Classics series, previously remixed by Matthias Tanzmann and Stefanik and Mazi (Audiosoul Project), as well as Rebekah’s Deluded on Phobic Records. 2010 sees more releases from Claire, the next being an e.p on Berlin’s excellent Highgrade Records. Richard also recently began working on a new alias project - Zeitgeist (www.myspace.com/zeitgeistmusic). Zeitgeist will be more focused on more organic, percussive house sounds, and has releases scheduled on Neurotron's infamous Night Drive Records, Blockhead and Monique Musique.
